The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is the home of the West of Scotland Heart & Lung Centre and is also an expanding elective centre.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the existing Pharmacy Team at NHS Golden Jubilee on a full-time basis. You will have a key role in supporting both the evolution and provision of pharmaceutical services to both in patients & out patients. Your role will involve rotating through various specialties focusing on near patient tasks such as medication history, discharges, patient education and Dispensary cover. As we face a future of advanced practice within Pharmacy, opportunities to learn and develop will be encouraged and supported.
You will help deliver an effective, efficient patient focused service ensuring all medicines are supplied in a safe and timely manner.
The successful applicant will be involved in the support, training and mentoring of other pharmacy staff to build on their development and career progression.
It is essential that you hold a valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC (please include your number on the application), a final accuracy checking qualification and the ability to lead and motivate the team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to organise, prioritise and manage your workload are also essential.
The successful applicant will participate in whole week working and public holidays (rota). Full training will be provided in order to support the evolution of our technical services.

Please note, there is two positions available – 37.5 hours per week and 19.5 hours per week.
