Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a highly successful organisation based in Glasgow City Centre, to recruit a Senior Payroll Analyst on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will support The Payroll Team in managing the pay and benefits administration process in the UK and EMEA. You will be a subject matter expert in UK Payroll, and preferably EMEA Payroll, with significant experience of managing end to end payrolls.

The main duties:

  • Support The Head of Payroll and Benefits in providing a high-quality payroll service
  • Assist with managing the day-to-day payroll and benefits administration process with some supervision to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Proactively keep up to date with payroll legislation and compliance by interpreting new legislation effectively and explaining to junior team members where applicable
  • Effectively communicate with third-party payroll and benefit providers to ensure that payments, reports and returns are being delivered to HMRC and other respective stakeholders accurately and on time
  • Responsible for payroll and benefits being administered and authorised in line with payroll process control policies to ensure compliance
  • Proactively make recommendations for improvement 
  • Maintain employee data on HR and leave/absence management systems, 
  • Administration of a range of employee benefits ensuring accurate payroll deductions are gathered with regular and prompt reporting to third party providers
  • Assisting with the processing and submitting statutory reporting requirements eg P45, P60, P11Ds
  • Calculation of statutory payroll payments, statutory documents and other manual calculations as required
  • Assist with the training of new and existing employees with some supervision
  •  Skills And Experience

  • Extensive experience of processing UK payroll and benefits is essential
  • Experience of payroll and benefit implementations/projects 
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring junior members of a team
  • Experience of managing EMEA payroll and benefits would be an advantage
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT skills and intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
