Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for an Senior Detail Designer – Electrical to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £32.31 (inside IR35) per hour.

Responsibilities
Operating as a senior designer within a team of up to 25 resources, the position holder will have high design technical capability and demonstrate exemplar behaviours as a role model within the team
Progress complex design activities through to completion using design tools (eg CAD) and advise and coach team members and early careers through their activities, and where applicable support colleagues through mentoring.
Check and assure other team members work on behalf of the Principal Detail Designer including final sign off of engineering outputs and creation of Quality Care Points and Alerts as identified during checking.Accountabilities
Deliver design solutions in line with the design intent, ensuring consideration of through life stakeholders (eg operations, commissioning, support, RN)
Work within mandated design constraints such as design rules and acceptance requirements and manage non-adherence through the correct process
Coach and assure team members on design best practice and advise on complex design matters
Role Model for early careers and aspiring designers with ability to develop talent to fulfil early potential, support early career programmes as PPoC.You
Typically HNC/HND qualified, likely to be in a technology, engineering or science related discipline plus Technical VQ Qualification
Meet the requirements for registration as Technician or Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional BodyBackground
