Job Description

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.

We are looking for a Sales Analyst to work within the Business Development Directorate in our Business Development & Customer Support team to deliver high-quality, continually improving, efficient and responsive services to our customers.

The successful candidate will be required to be responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of sales & market related data in order to provide intelligence and make recommendations to the business. These recommendations and subsequent well informed decision making will increase overall sales revenues to SQA. The development and tracking of key performance indicators are critical to further enhance sales performance in all UK markets. In order to do this, you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:

Collecting, analysing, evaluating, reporting & presenting data that will inform decision making and increase sales performance
Sourcing & analysing competitor intelligence to inform sales strategy & improve sales performance
Planning, developing and managing in-depth market and product trend analysis reports to support the activities of the business area

Additionally you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
Using analysis data available to make recommendations for promotional efforts to increase sales

Please note it is essential that the successful candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work on their own initiative and have strong analytical and research skills.

Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 9 and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
