Job Title: Principal Highways Engineer
Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 15% Pension, Bonus, 33 days annual leave
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Highways Engineer to join our client's team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow on a hybrid basis.
This exciting opportunity would suit someone with significant experience in highway alignment design, who is comfortable facing clients and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, conducting feasibility studies, preparing reports, and managing budgets.
They also need to be able to work closely with colleagues, manage sub-consultants and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
UK experience in highway alignment design Experience managing complex projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE).
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects from start to finish.
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare reports.
Develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Communicate with and manage client expectations.
