Permanent vacancy – Multiskilled Engineer (Electrically Bias)
Salary – £43,000 + DOE
Location – East End of Glasgow
Working hours – Shift work 12hour shifts on a 4 week shift pattern (days and nights)
12 hour shifts , the pattern is 2 nights , 3 off , 2 days , 2 off, 3 nights 2 off 2 days 2 off 3 nights 2 off and then back to the start of the rota
4 week patterns with every other weekend off.
Working days – Monday to Friday (office based)

Our client based in Eastend of Glasgow are looking for a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrically Bias) to join their busy team. Duties
Carry out planned routine and reactive maintenance repair work on all plant and equipment on site
Complete written reports on maintenance work carried out and identify future work
Plan and implement improvement ideas to increase the throughput and efficiency of the operating plants
To ensure the best possible resolution is achieved to those issues experienced, to meet the reliability requirements of the production
To be part of a team providing essential maintenance operations, whilst maintaining Health & Safety Standards, abiding by GMP to provide maximum manufacturing efficiency at the site
Conduct effective, recorded shift handover at the start and end of a duty shift
Carry out best practice throughout the scope of engineering activities
Conduct effective Planned Preventive Maintenance tasks and generate satisfactory reports
Identify Critical spares to best enable rapid breakdown response
Production FLM’s
Essential skills:
Two years proven Multi-skilled Engineering experience
Experience on PLC process equipment & plant
GSCE Grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent
Have completed a Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
ONC / NVQ III / C&G 2&3 certificates
17th Edition IEE wiring regulation pass
Desirable skills:
Previous Engineering experience within a food manufacturing business
PLC programming experience
BTEC diploma in a relevant subject
Strong engineering competence on production plant and auxiliary equipment
Experience with Permit to work systems
Experience with COSHH regulations
Experience of continuous improvement
Pest Control Awareness
Basic Food Hygiene
Able to self-manage and prioritise own workload to satisfy commitments and meet agreed deadlines
