We are looking for Drivers to join our Peak delivery team supporting demands in our industry across the Glasgow region from October to January.
*** Great day rate and Free Van – Starting October 9 2023 ***
Our “Ready to go” Team of Drivers and Vans for Glasgow, will provide a much-needed resource, they provide a fully flexible delivery resource from Bishopbriggs to Lanark and Coatbridge to Dun Donald. This includes short notice cover for peak volume spikes, driver call offs, and sickness – so no 2 days will be the same!
It takes a unique breed of Delivery Driver to be part of this winning team!
*Benefits*
* Pay £135 per day
* Free Van inclusive of insurance and breakdown cover – take the van home with you (personal use)
* Monday to Saturday plus some Sundays (rota) – it is peak after all!
As a driver your responsibilities will include:
Scanning and loading pre-sorted parcels from designated cages at the depot
Planning routes, setting and meeting customer ETA’s, Making deliveries and collections, Taking safe place photographs, Recording accurate location data, Sending delivery update reports.
Being on standby ready to provide a much-needed flexible service in and around Glasgow.
Parcel collections from Kilsyth, Motherwell, Clydebank, Lanark, Bishopbriggs, Airdrie, Euro Central.
*Requirements*
We are looking for candidates with drive and determination to succeed, who can demonstrate:
– Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 4 years
– Driving licence free from convictions and with less than 6 points
– Previous parcel delivery experience is a must
– Experience of driving a van and confidence in handling a van
– Flexible, Reliable and Responsible
– Excellent customer service
– Problem solving ability
– Good knowledge of the local area is beneficial
– Ability to stay calm under pressure
– Positive attitude, enthusiasm and commitment
– Have a smart phone
– Able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision, but as part of a team
