Job Description
The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.
We are looking for a Customer Marketing Officer to help SQA extend its reach across our range of channels and services. The successful candidate will support the delivery of marketing plans and tactical activity activities to stimulate interest and encourage uptake of SQA qualifications and services in defined key markets.
You must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
Providing support to the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of promotional mix propositions, in line with market requirements.
Coordinate SQA’s presence and attendance at agreed events and exhibitions, ensuring agreed approaches and objectives are met and evaluated.
Create content and coordinate articles, case studies and editorial features, by working with the Senior Customer Marketing Officer (Content) to support the delivery of marketing plans and activities.
Updating content on websites to comply with search engine optimisation best practices.
Liaise with external stakeholders and partners to plan and delivery joint marketing activity and sponsorship opportunities.
Manage inbound enquiries to the team from the marketing department mailbox, SQA and customers, to ensure an accurate and timely response.
Providing timely and accurate project status reports
Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Work effectively with colleagues across the organisation by contributing to the delivery of relevant tactical marketing activities.
Understand marketing objectives and experience of delivering marketing activity across the marketing mix including social media, email, content, branding, digital, display and advertising.
Liaise with and providing information to contracted external consultants and suppliers
Contribute towards the organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 6 (e.g. SVQ3/Higher) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
Also, role model the behaviours associated with SQA’s values (Trusted, Progressive and Enabling) in order to develop and sustain a productive and positive culture.
