First People Solutions are in search of a Controls & Instrument Designer on behalf of an International Oil and Gas Engineering company to be based in their Glasgow office.
Main Duties:
Development and production of the C&I design documentation to meet contract requirements using Autocad, Microsoft Office and SPI Database
Design of the following include:
- Cable box diagrams
- Hook up drawings
- Loop drawings
- Hazardous Area Schedule
- IO Schedule
- Instrument index
- Instrument data sheets
You will liaise with the C&I Engineer on identification and selection of C&I equipment for projects and checking in house documentation for other departments when required.
You will implement and contribute to the development of the C&I Design and procedures to ensure that all design requirements are achieved in a cost effective and safe manner.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND/Degree in relevant Engineering qualification
- Background in designing instrumentation installations for the offshore industry
- Experience of designing instrumentation systems
- SPI/INTOOLS knowledge
- The right to work in the UK
