Leading National Contractor Seeks Operation Manager to join their business.

Our client are a leading tier 1/2 main contractor who focus on complex design and build projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt. Their core project focus is on publicly funded projects across the educational and institutional sectors with a value up to £40million.
Your new role
With a strong orderbook for projects for 2023 and 2024 they are now seeking to appoint an Operations Manager/ Contracts Manager to join their team. This roles core responsibilities will be to manage and coordinate activities across multiple large building projects. From managing and developing your teams of PMs and SMs to collaborating effectively with your design and commercial teams you will be operating in a strategically critical for our client. You will be involved in all elements of their project pipeline from tender selection and bid management to final handover with your clients. Repeat business is a core element to our clients business model so you must aspire to develop long term and sustainable relationships with the key clients in this space.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate already has experience of managing and operating with multiple projects and teams and has a strong grounding in building backed up by a relevant degree. Your technical knowledge has been developed through multiple successful projects working as a Project Manager and you understand how to lead and develop teams of ambitious construction professionals. You have a well rounded understanding of construction activities and your knowledge encompasses construction operations and methodologies, commercial management and design management. You are a confident communicator who can influence and inspire stakeholders.
