An International firm with a presence in more than 35 countries, boasting over 60 offices and a team of over 5,000 lawyers worldwide is seeking to add a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to their team in Edinburgh.
Their Commercial Litigation team is known for its exceptional legal skills, commercial acumen, and outstanding client service. The team has a wealth of experience advising clients across a broad range of industries, including banking and finance, energy, construction, and real estate.
About the team:
\t The team is renowned for being highly commercial and giving Associates the chance to work closely with key clients. Associates are strongly encouraged to participate in business development initiatives in both Scotland and London.
\t The team deals with a broad range of international and national disputes across all sectors that the firm operates in. The work they undertake for clients is often high profile and at the forefront of dispute resolution. While you will be a valuable member of the Scottish team, you will also work on matters from their wider UK and international network.
\t This team has a proven record of delivering practical and commercial advice to a diverse range of clients at all stages of the dispute resolution process. This includes drafting dispute resolution clauses during pre-contractual negotiations, obtaining emergency injunctions in situations where assets are at risk, litigating and arbitrating complex multi-jurisdictional disputes, and enforcing judgements and awards, as well as recovering assets.
About you:
\t Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 2 to 5 years of PQE.
\t You should have a thorough understanding of litigation, arbitration, and ADR procedures. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth case analysis and briefings for the team, while handling substantial disputes under partner supervision.
\t The role will involve working closely with clients, including receiving instructions and drafting high-quality and concise correspondence, instructions to Counsel, pleadings, and other court and arbitration documents.
\t In addition, you will be expected to support the team in identifying business development opportunities and taking the initiative to develop your own and the team’s client relationships and market profile.
