We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our team at Southside Housing Association. The Association is the managing agent for the city wide Glasgow Care & Repair Service and this post offers a great opportunity to be part of a highly motivated, forward thinking team making a positive difference to people’s lives.

We are a friendly, forward thinking organisation where innovation, flexibility and positive communication is embraced. Our focus is on quality of service and helping others. We now wish to recruit a full time Advisor to our team as we continue to develop and deliver services to a wider range of customers.

If you have excellent technical knowledge, IT and people skills with an active approach on finding solutions, this could be the right job for you. The service provides general advice, information and technical support to older people and  people with disabilities living throughout Glasgow. The Advisor will offer assistance to owner occupiers or private rented tenants with the coordination of repairs, improvements and adaptations to their home.

The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have experience of managing a busy, varied workload in a busy environment. Applicants will have an ONC/HNC in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent or time served tradesperson with general building contractor experience.

We are a charitable community controlled housing association owning and managing approximately 2,250 houses for social rent, 250 for Mid-Market Rent and through our factoring company SFARS, we provide a factoring service for a further 1,000 owners. We also have an extensive development programme to build new homes.

In today’s environment, the ability to work in a changing environment with competing pressures is necessary and the successful candidate will be a team player with a “can do” attitude and the desire to learn new things while ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
