Position: Administrative Officer

Location: Glasgow, Leeds, Solihull, Cardiff, Peterborough, Liverpool
Salary: £ 12.84 per hour
Contract: Temporary 6-month with the possibility of extension,
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home

Working Days/Hours: Full Time, 8.30am-6.00pm, 37 hours per week

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office have a fantastic opportunity to join their existing team of admin officers in locations over the UK. You will be assisting with providing appropriate support working within the case working teams to support their efforts, managing basic admin tasks, answering emails, requesting information, creating digital files, liaising with other departments and stakeholders.

In this high-profile department, the role will be in an administrative support capacity at one of the above Home Office branches where you will be required to attend.

Day-to-day duties:

Monitor intake, updating local and national records and seeking additional supplementary information from outside partners.
Liaise with other casework teams with a view to referring cases to them.
Hold a good understanding of IT and Microsoft Office as you will be required to maintain accurate records of the movement of files, progression of cases and other ad hoc reports. A high standard of data quality will be expected.
Monitor multiple mailboxes, responding to queries from multiple stakeholders after seeking support at first from line managers and bringing queries to the attention of senior members of the team.
Establish effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the progression of cases.
Be able to handle customer information sensitively and securely.
Make impartial and well-considered judgements
Deliver at pace and work towards targets

Training provided:

On the job training – 4 weeks training, buddy system and shadow training. No holidays during training period.

Start dates will be confirmed once we have had clearance back but will be expected to be around October.
